M3 Motorway To Open
The largest motorway project in the history of the state will open to traffic on the
4th June 2010 .
The scheme extends from the north of Meath at Derver on the Meath/Cavan border to Clonee on the Meath/Dublin border. To fully appreciate the extent of this project one has to consider the main elements of the scheme, such as 51 kms of motorway, 10 kms of dual carriageway, 4 kms of two lane single carriageway, 12 kms of link roads, 35 kms of side roads, six grade separated junctions, 34 overbridges, 29 underpasses, two railway bridges and three major river crossings.
The project is opening ahead of schedule.
